UN system Network on Rural Development and Food Security seeks feedback among its readers
We invite you to participate in the current evaluation of the UN System Network on Rural Development and Food Security. Therefore, we kindly request you to take a few minutes of your time to answer the questions in the following page (please, click
here). Your answers will be very useful to assess the activities of the UN System Network and its website.
This evaluation, implemented within the framework of a series of auto-evaluations of significant FAO normative programmes promoted by the evaluation service of FAO, represents an opportunity to explore how to improve Network's activities, to enhance its management and strengthen its impact on the coordination of various agencies and information exchange on rural development and food security issues.
The secretariat of the UN system Network also took the opportunity of this questionnaire to collect information on the National Alliances against Hunger, launched in the framework of the
International Alliance Against Hunger (IAAH), and to seek advice on how to better promote the UN System Network and the Alliance's interaction.
The answers to the questionnaire, a review of available documentation and a series of interviews with key partners of the Network will help the Secretariat to undertake this evaluation, whose findings and recommendations will be discussed during a peer-review meeting planned in September 2004.
In addition, the results of this survey will be used as an input to the forthcoming evaluation on the corporate strategy of
"Broadening Partnerships and Alliances" to be undertaken by the Programme, Budget and Evaluation Department within FAO later this year.
