Twenty-four donors exchange analytical information on different countries through a Website
Twenty-four multilateral and bilateral agencies in developing countries will exchange information on their analytical work on different topics of development through a website created in common www.countryanalyticwork.net. The initiative, designed to increase the effectiveness of aid programmes of donors through the efficient interchange of analytic data gathered in developing countries, "
signifies an important step in the progress of collaboration within the developing community", assured the vice president of political operations and national services of the World Bank, James W. Adams.
Through this Website, the donors will share analyses, good practices, and advice to reinforce the development and implementation of national strategies, political dialogue, and sustainable financial transactions.
Specifically, the participating organizations will publish the following on the web:
- lists of works in national analysis that are finished, under way or projected;
- information on programming, application and quality of analytical work;
- the names and addresses of the personnel in charge of national analytical work in each organization;
- tools and methodologies that each organization applies in national analytical work;
- examples of good practices;
- declassification policies and contracts appropriate for gaining access to confidential documents.
