Multilingual Land Tenure Thesaurus

The Land tenure Service of FAO has recently published the Chinese version of the “Multilingual Land Tenure Thesaurus”.

The series of terminology publications of Land Tenure terms includes versions in French, Spanish, English and Chinese. Each one corresponds to the historical, institutional and socio-economic context related to the language of publication.

Each version covers law aspects, geography, topography as well as traditional land tenure ruling, land tenure planning and information techniques.

The Chinese version also includes a brief introduction on the evolution of the land tenure systems in China in English and French as well as an index in three languages in order to enable non-oriental readers to learn about the vocabulary used in the Chinese thesaurus.

In addition, an electronic version of the 10 th edition of the French thesaurus, reviewed and augmented is being finalized.
