Ecuador: the FAO will take charge of the organization of the Coordinating Board of Food Security and Rural Development

Recently, the Coordinating Board of Food Security and Rural Development has been set up with the participation of the institutions most involved in co-operation in the country. This new action platform in favour of the commitments adopted during the 1996 World Food Summit has been spurred by the Equadorian Institute for International Cooperation (INECI) and will be coordinated by the representation of the FAO in the country.
