Uruguay: Thematic group produces CD-ROM with information on the Caraguatį Pilot Project-phases I and II
The Thematic Group on Rural Development and Food Security in Uruguay produced a CD-ROM containing all the documents of the implementation and monitoring of the Caraguatį pilot project.
The main scope of the pilot project, which was developed in 2001 within the Rural Development and Food Security Program, was to contribute in strengthening local capacities fostering improvements in production and marketing of agriculture products while promoting healthy diet habits. An effective partnership was created between several UN System Agencies (UNDP, WHO/PAHO and FAO) with the support of
German cooperation agency GTZ, the Public Health Ministry, ANEP/CEP and the
Latin American Center for Human Economy (CLAEH).
The CD includes documents regarding the four basic areas that comprised the Caraguatį Plot Project: social assistance, health education, nutrition and agriculture. Among the documents that can be found in the CD you can find follow-up reports on the development of the project, evaluations and surveys as well as the didactic support used in the implementation of the project such as: posters, power point presentations, brochures, etc.
