Guatemala: Thematic Group issues second Newsletter

The National Thematic Group in Guatemala known as GIISAN (Grupo Interinstitucional de Información de Seguridad Alimentaria y Nutricional) has published its second newsletter as part of the activities of information dissemination and sharing of experiences among its members.

The second edition of the newsletter highlights the recent approval by Congress of the food security law within the framework of the right to food. It defines food security as a right for all citizens in Guatemala. The newsletter also includes information on food security indicators and a call for action to implement effective food security information systems.
